If you are anything like me, you have been waiting for tonight with baited breath. It is finally here: the first night of Chanukah! Now hopefully you have everything you need but if you don’t, you still have eight days to get it.
Hopefully you at least have your basics supplies such as your Hanukkah menorah and dishware. If you are lacking in Jewish gifts, go online and order them today. If you choose expedited shipping you can still receive the gifts and give them out before the end of the Festival of Lights.
As for party accoutrements you can probably find dreidels, chocolate coins, and other trinkets at your local grocery store or department store. Make sure to also pick up ample amounts of kosher wine.
Luckily for you the two staple foods for Chanukah, potato latkes and jelly donuts, are not hard to make or purchase. Combine those two things with the wine and maybe whip up a simple salad or side dish and you should be set.
The last thing you need to worry about is décor. For this I would suggest buying some craft paper and pencils and just making some paper cutouts and other fun things to hang around your house. You can still have a great last minute Chanukah, but do your friends a favor and do more planning ahead next year.
