Jewish New Year

Judaica StoreJust because according to the Jewish calendar New Year’s Eve has come and gone doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate again now that we are nearing World New Year’s Eve. Come December 31st Jews will be celebrating with all of earth’s citizens as we ring in another calendar year. If you want to throw a New Year’s Eve party you can still put a Jewish spin on it.

For a Jewish New Year combine traditional New Year’s traditions with Jewish ones. Go to a Judaica store and get some Judaically themed décor. Then go to any party supply store and get New Year’s decor. Put both up in your house. Make sure to offer guests champagne and kosher wine. The menu can be Jewish canapés like lox, latkes and hummus.

If you forgot to get someone Jewish gifts for Chanukah, New Year’s Eve is a great time to make it up to them. Make sure you do any late gift shopping before your party so you can get all your gift giving done before the New Year.

Other than that the only thing you need to is to invite your friends over and start counting down the minutes till 2012! Who will you be kissing at the stroke of midnight?
